Pilgrimage: Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha

‘How do we make a deep connection for ourselves, between outwardly and inwardly following the path of awakening that the Buddha walked?’
Senior Dharma Teacher Christine Thompson will lead an exploration of pilgrimage following her recent journey to India, visiting key sacred sites where the Buddha gave his teachings. A long-term practitioner and teacher of Insight (Vipassana) and Mindfulness meditation, Christine will offer Meditation Guidance, and Dharma Talk, within the intimate Stanley Ave Studio accompanied by the exhibition of paintings of the Pilgrimage.
Artist Peter Friedlander’s will then talk about how following the footsteps of the Buddha informs his creative life; through this exhibition of water colour paintings of where the Buddha walked.
The afternoon will include:
- Dharma talk by Christine Thompson
- 30-minute guided meditation
- Artist talk by Peter Friedlander
- Tea provided
- Invitation to bring cake and sweets to share
- A chance to get to know each other
